"It’s been fantastic working with DASSH over the years—they’ve played a big part in helping us turn thousands of rock pool records from our community events into meaningful, accessible data. From our earlier Blue Recovery project to our ongoing work on the Big Rock Pool Challenge, DASSH have always been brilliant partners—supportive, knowledgeable and always keen to help us make our citizen science count. They make sure the amazing marine life our volunteers find doesn't just stay in the notebook, but becomes part of the bigger picture for marine research and conservation."

"Thank you so so much again for the Young Marine Biologists club session. It was the first time hosting one with multiple speakers so a bit of a trial but I think it worked really well. We are starting to do more activities such as breakout rooms but think there wasn’t as much time with this one to do so. If any of you have any suggestions on how to improve the clubs in the future please let us know!

I just wanted to share some lovely feedback we got from three YMBs that filled in the survey!

What was your favourite part of the club?

  1. The blennies because they were super cute
  2. Learning about iNaturalist and how important it can be for scientists (I already use seek but now I will switch to iNaturalist). I also always love the careers section as it is very useful
  3. Everything that I learnt!

Is there any other feedback you would like to share with us? Maybe a little summary quote about the club or your membership!

I find the MBA club is very useful because the wide range of topics helps me find the ones I'm most interested in (and might want to do as a career). Thank you very much"
